The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department with a specialization in Cyber Security at Indira Institute of Technology and Sciences is dedicated to addressing the critical need for professionals who can safeguard digital landscapes from evolving cyber threats. The CSE (Cyber Security) Department has become a focal point for students passionate about securing information and ensuring the integrity of digital systems.
Students in the CSE (Cyber Security) Department engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences to develop proficiency in securing computer systems and networks. The department emphasizes real-world scenarios, enabling students to apply their knowledge to protect against cyber attacks. Beyond theoretical understanding, the curriculum is structured to instill ethical considerations and a deep sense of responsibility in students as future cyber security professionals.
The department actively encourages students to participate in cybersecurity competitions, workshops, and industry internships to further enhance their practical skills and stay abreast of the latest developments in the field. Additionally, students are encouraged to pursue certifications in recognized cyber security domains.
The ultimate goal of the CSE (Cyber Security) Department is to produce graduates who are not only technically adept in cyber security but also possess a strong ethical foundation. By preparing students to tackle the complex challenges of the digital era, the department strives to contribute to the creation of a secure and resilient digital environment. Graduates from the CSE (Cyber Security) Department at IITS are well-equipped to play pivotal roles in safeguarding information and infrastructure against cyber threats.
To be a center of excellence in cyber security education, producing skilled professionals committed to safeguarding digital assets and combating cyber threats globally.
To offer specialized training in cyber security, covering theoretical foundations, hands-on practices, and industry-relevant methodologies, preparing students to mitigate cyber risks and contribute to cyber defense strategies.
"PROBLEM SOLVING" workshop was organised for the first year Btech students of Indira Institute of Technology & Sciences, Markapur on 24th May 2023. Prof. Dr. Ushaa Eswaran, Principal of IITS conducted the workshop
A Guest lecture on " GOAL SETTING" was organised for the first year Btech students of Indira Institute of Technology & Sciences, Markapur on 27th May 2023. Prof. Dr. Ushaa Eswaran, Principal of IITS presented the Guest Lecture on the topic " GOAL SETTING"
Computer Hardware workshop was conducted by Mr.Surya and Ms. Siva Parvathi for the first year Btech students on 11 May 2023. The workshop covered the following topics: Introduction to Hardware and Software, CPU Components, Assembling of Different Parts of Computers, Working with Ports and Wires, BIOS and CMOS, Installation of OS and Handling Viruses, Networking Basics, ; IP & Setting up a Computer on LAN
The goal setting seminar aims to help participants learn how to set meaningful and achievable goals, identify potential barriers, and develop actionable plans to reach their objectives. By the end of the seminar, participants should have a better understanding of the importance of goal setting, be equipped with practical tools to set and track progress towards their goals, and feel motivated to take action towards achieving their desired outcomes.
Department of Computer Science & Engineering had conducted a technical seminar under their association NINJAS on 4th May 2023. "MANEESHA" third year Btech student Computer Science & Engineering department delivered a talk on "Inheritance in Java".
Department of Computer Science & Engineering had conducted a technical seminar under their association NINJAS on 27th April 2023. "Nagamma" third year Btech student Computer Science & Engineering department delivered a talk on "Artificial Intelligence".Various applications of Artificial Intelligence was discussed in the seminar. It is becoming essential for today's time because it can solve complex problems with an efficient way in multiple industries, such as Healthcare, entertainment, finance, education, etc. AI is making our daily life more comfortable and fast. Already, AI- and machine learning-enabled technologies are used in medicine, transportation, robotics, science, education, the military, surveillance, finance and its regulation, agriculture, entertainment, retail, customer service, and manufacturing.
B.Sivakumar third year Btech student Computer Science & Engineering department spoke on "Stacking". The Seminar gave an understanding to students on Machine Learning and how it facilitates the user to feed a computer algorithm with an immense amount of data and how the computer analyzes and makes data-driven recommendations and decisions based on only the input data. A Stack can be used for evaluating expressions consisting of operands and operators. Stacks can be used for Backtracking, i.e., to check parenthesis matching in an expression. It can also be used to convert one form of expression to another form. It can be used for systematic Memory Management
Department of Computer Science & Engineering had conducted a technical seminar under their association NINJAS on 21st April 2023. Thirupathamma third year Btech student Computer Science & Engineering department delivered a talk on "Types of Machine Learning". The Seminar gave an understanding to students about Supervised Learning, Un Supervised Learning and Reinforced Learning. Applications of Types of machine learning were discussed in the seminar like Supervised learning algorithms are generally used for solving classification and regression problems. Unsupervised learning is used for solving clustering and association problems and Reinforcement learning algorithms are widely used in the gaming industries to build games. It is also used to train robots to do human tasks.
Department of Computer Science & Engineering had conducted a technical seminar under their association NINJAS on 17th April 2023. N.Naveen third year Btech student Computer Science & Engineering department delivered a talk on "Linear SVM Classification". Students learned that the Linear SVM is used for linearly separable data, which means if a dataset can be classified into two classes by using a single straight line, then such data is termed as linearly separable data, and classifier is used called as Linear SVM classifier. students understood the working principal of SVM.SVM works by mapping data to a high-dimensional feature space so that data points can be categorized, even when the data are not otherwise linearly separable. A separator between the categories is found, then the data are transformed in such a way that the separator could be drawn as a hyperplane
Department of Computer Science & Engineering had conducted a technical seminar under their association NINJAS on 7th April 2023. Raju third year Btech student Computer Science & Engineering department delivered a talk on "5G Wireless Technology". The Seminar gave an understanding to students that 5G wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra low latency, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability, and a more uniform user experience to more users. Higher performance and improved efficiency empower new user experiences and connects new industries.
